Sunrise in Chapala, by Kristen
I’ve learned to trust the way Spirit delivers miracles to me. Simple tasks become grand adventures and the days come alive. (Ir a español) That’s how I found myself and five of my Mighty Companions huddled inside a shabby lakeside fishing shack in Mexico, listening to the rain pound on the galvanized roof. —– The weather forecast predicted only a 26% chance of showers – so we proceed with Sue’s inspiration to watch the sunrise from the shores of Lake Chapala. It starts to rain almost immediately. The gentle sprinkle is welcome in the early morning air and we keep on...

Living in community at La Casa De Milagros for three months together with partner Emily and Sue (ex-partner) was bound to be a powerful healing opportunity. Specialness would rear it’s head almost daily in the early weeks with many a lively expression session held in the presence of mighty companions, without which the safety and the remembrance of innocence would not have been possible. (Ir a español) Guilt always seems to be the ego’s central theme, and whether it is turned in on the self or projected out, it can’t be believed for long when we are held in the love of the...

I have been living in spiritual community for a few years now, although I’ve only been a part of the community here in Mexico for about three weeks. I feel as though these years of mind training are really starting to bear fruit. I am having frequent days where I cannot contain the joy and gratitude in my heart. Several of us were expressing our love and appreciation for Greg and Emily who leave tomorrow, after a...

Here in the community we do projects as backdrops to bring up hidden concepts, beliefs, and feelings for us to expose and release to the Holy Spirit. No big deal; it seemed kind of benign and non-productive. Minor irritations surface during the everyday routine. However, underneath that minor irritation there may be something major. We were discussing the issue of sunlight entering the room where we watch movies and Sue gave the “go ahead” to purchase new, room-darkening curtains. Wanting to contribute to the community I spoke up and offered a cheaper solution. Just add a lining...

With much difficulty, two mighty companions brought my car to me in Mexico from Utah. It would be primarily for community use. I have found it is no longer practical for me to own a car. I have had to rely on others to help me with all my logistics. I felt it was time to pass it on to the community here, so I stated my decision to donate it. This felt guided and I experienced great relief at this decision. The car began to be used by the community. However, later when I drove it, I perceived a very large stain on the upholstery of the driver’s seat that looked like spilled coffee. ...
