Mexican Adventure, by Sue

On Sunday I went to a Charreada, a Mexican horse event of skill and courage. (Ir a español) I was invited by Jose who was judging the event and my goodness didn’t he look the part when he arrived to pick me up.! Beautiful  coordinated  outfit, shiny boots, tooled belt and sombrero to top it off! I was in another world! A world of generosity, chivalry and openness as well as laughter and honesty! The world of the charro or Mexican cowboy. We arrived at the venue along with two of Jose’s friends and Jose laid out his Mexican blanket for me to...

Emotional Authenticity, with Frances and Anje

An emotion arises first in an abstract way, then the mind looks to the past to find a reason for it. (Ir a español) But what if you didn’t come to any conclusion about what the feeling means, if you were to withdraw judgment and forgive your conclusions? The feeling doesn’t define who you are. Express it authentically! Then you can move through it and past it. Some key points from the expression session Frances: The emotion arises first in an abstract way, and then the mind tries to find a reason for it in the past. Anje: I labeled it...

¿Porqué no quiero hacerlas?

It’s Not Personal, by Frances

In an audio by Frances, she speaks to some concerns voiced during an expression session this morning. Here are some of her ideas: Nothing I experience is personal. The same applies to you. Don’t make it a problem about yourself. Don’t judge yourself; don’t conclude; just accept what is. I don’t understand things or feelings in the middle of them. It’s perfect. So I don’t try to label it or solve anything. Clarity comes after with perspective. Share your specifics, but don’t hold on to them. I’m given this role to hold this community together,...

Sufi Dance, by Sue

Yesterday the invitation went out to “give all to all” in the form of an inspired extension to the group. Craig volunteered to share Sufi dancing, a seemingly paradoxical way to transcend the external and come into the still center. As my current inspiration is to film joyous vignettes of experience, I would like to share some of the dancing with you now! Each dancer had their own given way of expressing the ‘whirl’…. Craig and Catarina set the tone, leading us into the Sufi music, Catarina’s skirt a hypnotic flow of colors, following the...

A Golf Course in Miracles, by Craig

Just before flying from Mexico to Florida for a number of weeks to teach some golf, my leg swelled up like a pumpkin, as if it were a tire inflated by a bicycle pump. It got even worse with hours of constant standing and teaching in Florida. But, after praying, a doctor figure appeared to me on the golf practice area, hitting golf balls and wearing only his blue operating theatre clothes. I remember at the time thinking it seemed quite surreal. See picture: Well, it’s not him exactly. The doctor proceeded to approach me and after some casual...

Milagros en Mexico! by Rob

What a miraculous month at La Casa de Milagros, where I have been blessed to experience the first retreat at this new Living Miracles outpost. Thank You David and the residents and the Retreatants for making this a wonderful journey into that still and quiet place in the mind. Before arriving, I had spent more than a year “stuck in a rut.” Though I was doing my Course lessons daily, my mind was definitely split, about many aspects of my life, including relationship, job, a project I’m working on, and my living situation. Thus experiences of...

My Beloved Mind by Philippe

My brothers and sisters, My beloved Mind, I just want to share my experience of the silent retreat at La Casa De Millagros. Please forgive my poor English witch is not my mother language. I had decided to come to this retreat with the strong desire go deeper and to take the time and the devotion that would help me to feel and hear Spirit stronger. This retreat was the most gentle and sweet experience that I could ever dream of. Spirit had guided me in this beautiful sanctuary, cared by my beautiful mighty companions, filled with Love, Peace,...

Impressions from my time on retreat in Chapala Mexico by Pete

If I am truthful I would have to say that there have been significant periods during my time here on retreat in Chapala when I wondered why on Earth I came…
